August 21st, 2017

The right time to buy a home is when it’s right for you. Whether or not you have a spouse or start a family, buying a home is about being ready to be happy in a single location for a long time. If you are financially stable, ready to settle and know what you want from a home, it’s probably time to start browsing the housing market. Read More >

SoCal Living Your Way: Jump to the Head of the Line at Castella in Norwalk

August 7th, 2017

Southern California has long served as the standard of a dream-like lifestyle. With gorgeous beaches, nearly perfect weather, and a wide variety of events and activities, it really is an ideal place to live. No wonder so many people are proud to call it home.

Of course, that popularity creates one inconvenient drawback: high housing prices.

The Orange County Register recently reported that the median price of a condo in Orange County was about $500,000, adding that “for 62 straight months, Southern California home prices have gone in one direction. Up.” Just five short years ago, home prices in Los Angeles County were 76 percent less than they are today.

By April, prices had risen an average of 6.3 percent over the last year. If the cost continues to rise at that rate, the median home price in Los Angeles County will be $800,000 by 2023. Considering that prices are indeed expected to rise for at least another two years, now is the time to buy.

But how can you do it when prices are at an all-time high? You’d have to be pretty lucky to find a new LA home in the low $400,000s.

We’ve got good news for you.

Those homes do exist, and they’re right here at Castella in Norwalk. This new residential community features an enclave of 21 townhomes with easy access to the 5 and 605 freeways. How can it get any better?

Like this:

Each home features open floor plans with two or three bedrooms, ranging in size from 1,108 to 1,491 square feet. Take a look at some of these highlights:

Energy Efficient: Auto shut-off motion sensors in the bathroom, laundry room, and garage, tankless water heater, water-efficient toilets and faucets, and Energy Star appliances.
Gourmet Kitchens: Stainless steel two-compartment sink, garbage disposal, freestanding gas range, built-in microwave, upgraded granite countertops, plenty of cabinets and storage, and more.
Fine Details: Recessed LED lighting, rounded wall corners, central heat and air, fiberglass shower, and master suites with Moen faucets, spacious closets, and cultured marble countertops.
Welcoming First Impressions: Contemporary architecture and a finished two-car garage.
Safety: Automatic fire sprinklers, low VOC interior paint, carbon monoxide detector, and pre-wired security system.

Choose one of four two-story floor plans and customize it to suit your unique needs and preferences. Simply speak to your sales representative to learn more about available upgrades and options.

In addition to the community’s 42 garage parking spaces, there are an additional 22 outdoor spaces to accommodate your friends when they come to visit. The common area, featuring a covered patio and barbecue grills, is available for you to enjoy these summer evenings and leisurely weekend afternoons with your friends and family.

This cozy community is nestled in Norwalk, where you’ll enjoy restaurants, parks, movie theaters, the golf center and sports complex, performing arts centers, and a variety of shopping opportunities. Gerdes Park is a short walk from your new home, as are several schools and churches. Meanwhile, downtown Los Angeles is a short drive away.

Castella is your opportunity to jump to the head of the line in Southern California! You don’t have to leave this incredible part of the world. Live the SoCal life your way in a beautiful–and affordable–new home.

Castella is one of the newest small communities built by Brandywine Homes, a family-owned and operated company that has been committed to making a positive contribution to the community since 1994.
