Brandywine Homes to Build Residential Community Offering 25 Townhomes in Duarte, Calif.

Oliva Expected to Be Open for Sale in Summer 2019

DUARTE, Calif. Brandywine Homes has acquired 1.26 acres in Duarte, Calif., and plans to build Oliva, a community offering 25 three-story townhomes. Brandywine has broken ground on the new neighborhood and plans to open the property for sale in summer of 2019.

“The San Gabriel Valley has everything people living around the L.A. area are looking for: jobs, entertainment, shopping, dining and more,” said Dave Barisic, principal in charge of sales and marketing for Brandywine Homes, a pioneer of infill development in Southern California. “Unfortunately, the supply of new housing for those who want to live in the area is very low. We hope to ease that with the homes at Oliva.”

The spacious, contemporary three- and four-bedroom, three-and-a-half bath townhomes will range from approximately 1,773 to 1,913 square feet. These townhomes will include large kitchens with islands and granite and quartz countertops, downstairs bedrooms and large great rooms on the second level. Oliva will include community open space with barbecues and picnic tables.

Oliva is conveniently located off of the 210 Freeway and in close proximity to the Metro Gold Line within the acclaimed Duarte Unified School District. Additionally, it is close to the Santa Fe Dam Recreation Area, Monrovia Canyon Park, the City of Hope Medical Center and in walking distance of an abundance of retail and restaurants.

According to the National Association of Home Builders’ formula to determine the local impact of single-family housing in typical metro areas, adding 25 townhomes will generate $7.1 million in local income, $900,000 in taxes and other revenue for local governments and 98.5 local jobs.
