Four Reasons the Kids Will be Excited About a Move to Sunstone

Moving can be a difficult experience for children. Leaving behind friends, having to attend a new school, and just moving to a new home can all be scary for children. This can especially be hard for children who have lived in the same house up until this point in their lives. Often, knowing a little about their new home and the surrounding area can comfort a child’s fears.

Although Brandywine’s Sunstone townhouses are not yet completed, now is the perfect time to get on the interest list and to get the kids excited about a move to Norwalk, California. Here are a few things that are sure to appeal to them about the area.

Knott’s Berry Farm

Knott’s Berry Farm is located a short drive away in Buena Park. With an assortment of rides, including nearly a dozen roller coasters as well as water rides and rides perfect for smaller children, Knott’s Berry Farm is a great place for the whole family to have fun.

With your close proximity to Knott’s Berry Farm from Sunstone, you will probably want to visit the park multiple times a year, and the Regular Season Pass pays for itself after about two visits.

Southern California is an amusement park lover’s dream. Universal Studios, Disneyland, and Six Flags Magic Mountain are all less than an hour from centrally located Norwalk.

Golf N’ Stuff

Although Golf N’ Stuff does not offer you quite the same level of amusement park fun as some of the other nearby parks, it is located in Norwalk and is also less expensive than the alternatives. The park includes four miniature golf courses, go-karts, bumper boats, bumper cars, the unique Disk’O Thrill Ride, a kiddie train, arcade games, and a snack bar. Golf N’ Stuff offers party packages and group discounts. Plus, going there might offer you some flashbacks to the 1980s as the original The Karate Kid had a date scene filmed at Golf ‘N Stuff.  As summer is quickly approaching, it is a great place to keep the kids entertained for a few hours.

Recreation and Park Services

The city of Norwalk has a variety of parks. Whether you are looking for slides and swings or just an open field where your children can play sports or run around, there are great parks in Norwalk which are perfect for a variety of forms of recreation.

Children and parents alike can also have a great time swimming at the Norwalk Aquatic Pavilion, talking classes at the Cultural Arts Center, or participating in an exercise program at the Sports Complex. The city also offers a skate park with hours specifically for skateboarding and in-line skaters and other hours just for people riding bikes. There are also a variety of sports programs for children of just about any age.

Themed Dinner Adventures

Buena Park has a variety of themed dinner adventures perfect for families. There is the Medieval Times Dinner & Show for the family who geeks out a little at the idea of knights and jousting. There is the Pirate’s Dinner Adventure for the family who wants to see sword fighting and great acrobatics. With up to 150 volunteers invited to participate in the show, someone in your family might even get a chance for a little extra pirate fun.

Of course, this is not all Norwalk and the surrounding communities have to offer for you and your children. If you are interested in learning more about the upcoming Sunstone townhouses or you want to learn more about Norwalk and the surrounding cities, contact us.
