Brandywine Homes to Build 66-Townhomes in Rancho Santa Margarita

BY LAUREN GIUDICE, OC METRO MAGAZINEBrandywine Homes, a family owned residential homebuilder based in Irvine, is going to build a 66-unit townhome community in Rancho Santa Margarita. Construction will begin in early 2012 and the entire $31 million project will be completed in 2015.

The complex, called Bungalows, will feature 11 buildings and sit on four acres. There will be both two and three story homes with prices from the low $400,000s to mid $500,000. The homes will range from 1,644 to 2,100 square feet and have a variety of floor plans.

The community, which is just off the 241 Toll Road, includes a neighborhood park and residents will have access to a nearby lake and pool.

“We’re excited about bringing Bungalows to the market,” said President of Brandywine Homes Brett Whitehead. “The homes will be larger than townhomes on the resale market but smaller than single-family detached homes. We expect to attract younger buyers in their 30s, newlyweds, couples just starting families and perhaps some new buyers who don’t want the big house or the maintenance of the backyard.”
