Young couple finds perfect first home at Stonegate in Westminster

WESTMINSTER, CA (August 13, 2009) – As most newly married couples will attest, having a place you can call your own is the first big step after the vows are said. Mike and Teri Odoca are one such couple who recently made their big step into a new home at Stonegate.

The couple first met at USC doing work study in the computer lab and recently celebrated their second wedding anniversary. During that time the two lived apart for nearly one year while Mike finished law school in San Francisco. Mike, now an attorney and Teri an accountant were excited to find their perfect new home at Stonegate in Westminster. “We were lucky enough to be able to rent an apartment from my in-laws in Westminster,” explains Mike, “But when I graduated and started working in Pasadena we couldn’t wait to find our own home.” With a desire to stay in Orange County and still be central to LA the Odoca’s looked at a number of resale and new homes before selecting the three-bedroom, two and one-half bath Plan 1 at Stonegate. Living at Stonegate allows them to be close to Teri’s family in Westminster while enjoying the things they love about Orange County. “We are still near the beach, there’s great shopping at Westminster Mall and a Target right here. We also love to spend time at Bella Terra (just 7 minutes south on the 405),” says Teri. “The restaurant choices there are great.”

As busy young professionals the couple specifically liked the fact that they were buying new which would save them time and money on maintenance. Brandywine’s homebuyer warranty and long history of customer satisfaction was a big plus.

Built by Brandywine Homes Stonegate’s homes are priced from $499,990 and are thoughtfully designed for today’s busy lifestyles. In addition to the benefit of buying new, the Odoca’s took advantage of current low interest rates without the burden of a Mello-Roos tax.The two-story homes range from 1,474 to 1,909 square feet and include three to four bedrooms, up to three full baths, a convenient interior upstairs laundry, a private yard, and a two-car garage.

Spacious gourmet kitchens include quality Whirlpool Stainless Steel Appliances, designer selected granite counter tops, natural beech cabinetry and stainless steel sinks. Master baths provide a special place to relax with walk-in closets, dual sinks, oval soaking tub and separate enclosed showers.

Ideally located in the heart of Westminster’s growing city, residents have easy access to employment centers, shopping, and entertainment including close proximity to Disneyland and Knott’s Berry Farm. Elementary and middle school students attend Schmitt Elementary and Johnson Middle School located in the award-winning Westminster School District while Westminster High School is part of the highly rated and sought after Huntington Beach Union High School district.

“Our experience with buying at Stonegate has been excellent. We were very happy with the sales agents Myle and Douglas,” says Mike. “We’ve been here three months and they have been very responsive to all our needs.”
